Holstein

Holstein

The aim of the Holstein breeding program is to respond to members' local needs and enable EVOLUTION to make significant progress on the international market.

A few annual figures which characterize the breeding program:

  • 250 embryo donors on station
  • 8500 embryos produced
  • 15000 females inseminated with Bull Sires
  • 3000 young male calves genotyped
  • 3200 young females genotyped to which are added 25,000 heifers genotyped by the breeders
  • 200 young bulls selected
  • 100 bulls marketed

To bring this program to a successful conclusion, and especially to answer breeders’ wishes in terms of management, about fifteen experts in genetics cover the EVOLUTION territory.

Creation segments adapted to all farmers

To provide a more relevant response to the needs of different breeding strategies, at both national and international level, the XY Creation program takes the many different expectations into account via the choice of the sires. Thus various segments of selection strategy are worked out.

By its size and its mission to respond to the whole of the dairy market, the EVOLUTION Holstein Breeding Program is one of the world leaders.
